What Is A Miracle?

One of My Favorite Gary Quotes

It’s the universe’s way of giving you a boost. I started my morning today, just the usual way, watching DailyVee #22. I happened to pick up on something one of Gary’s many fans had to say, about how thrilled he was when he got a response from Gary to an email he had written out randomly to him. A couple of hours later I thought, what’s the harm in trying? I wrote an email to Gary telling him how I was not just a viewer of his content, but a practitioner now. My goal in life is to work closely with Gary and I expressed that in my email. I hit send only to feel satisfied that I did what I sought out for. I checked my phone little later in the day, and what do I see? Yes! It’s a reply for the wonder man himself – Gary Vaynerchuk!

Of course I am on top of the world, jumping with joy. He connects me with Andy in his email and says they look for interns in the Fall. At this point, what he has written hardly even matters to me. I am just stoked that HE responded to MY email.

My biggest takeaway from my miracle today? I have two actually:

  1. If you are passionate about something, just go for it. What’s the worst that can happen? Trying and failing is always better than not trying. If you are a 100% genuine, even in the most basic, non contextual conversation, your genuineness will come across to whoever you may be talking to.
  2. Practice what you preach. Lesson # 1 to be learned from Gary. He gives his full hustle to execute all that he tells us about. I’m sure he gets flooded with hundreds of emails in a day, and yet, he responded to me, someone who is a nobody to him, or even compared to him.

To make a decision in your head is absolutely easy, but it’s the execution that matters. Being a person who was used to thinking about consequences, I made a decision to simply follow my heart. And all it’s really done for me is freaking awesome!
